In July of 2007 Ted Stanyer and Doug Cameron purchased the Pillar-to-Post franchise operating in Surrey, Delta and Richmond from long time owner Bruce Riddick. Both Ted and Doug began their inspection career working with Bruce and quickly became well known and trusted in the area among home buyers and sellers and real estate agents.
Maintaining the high level of professional service and reputation are key to both Ted and Doug and they continue to move the business forward. Bruce has remained active within the inspection industry and still performs home inspections during busier periods throughout the year.
Between them, Ted, Doug and Bruce have completed more than 7,200 inspections throughout the lower mainland on all kinds of homes for all types of clients; large and small, historical old timers or just completed for investors, contractors, first time buyers and even sellers.

Professional Training
Every Pillar-to-Post home inspector must sucessfully complete Pillar-to-Post classroom and on-site training. This supplements the independent RHI certification each of our inspectors holds; Registered Home Inspectors with the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors (CAHPI ) BC-chapter. All inspectors are required to continually upgrade their skills and to keep current with new technologies and professional standards to maintain their RHI designation.
For the Homebuyer:
You will gain a thorough evaluation of the home so that you will know exactly what you are buying. Using Pillar-to-Post proprietary home inspection software which covers 1600 items, our inspector will provide you with a comprehensive report of the items visually checked during the inspection. This information will help you to buy with confidence knowing that a true professional has carefully evaluated and inspected your potential future home.
The full report will be printed and delivered to you in a professional binder before we leave the inspection. If for some reason you are not able to attend the inspection, the entire report including the digital photos taken during the inspection can be e-mailed to you, along with a follow-up phone call to provide you with a quick verbal summary.
For the Home Seller:
For sellers, pre-listing inspections are becoming more popular. Being aware of issues in advance will allow for full disclosure of problems, which often results in smoother transactions for all parties.
